This year, make this adorably crocheted Halloween trick-or-treat bag for that little ghoul or goblin you love so much. In no time at all, you'll whip up this cute little pumpkin to carry all their goodies on the spookiest night of the year.
There's just something so special about a homemade gift, but why wait for Christmas?! You can gift your little ones this cute little homemade pumpkin for all that sweet, sweet candy on Halloween night to make sure they have a howling good time!
And don't worry, even if that spooky holiday is only a few days away...you'll stitch this up in no time at all. The kids will be so excited, they may even vote you Mummy of the Year!
🪝 Crochet stitches
This easy crochet pattern uses the magic ring/circle, single crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch, as well as increases and decreases. And don't forget, I always have tutorial videos, so if you'd like, you can review the magic ring/circle, half double crochet stitch, and also how to increase and decrease before starting, as shown on my small crochet pumpkin (just remember that for most of the pumpkin, you'll be using half double crochet).
🧶 Materials
- #4 worsted weight yarn in orange and brown, approx 200 yards total
- H-8 / 5-mm crochet hook
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
⭐ Notes
- All instructions, abbreviations, and materials in this pattern are given in US terminology.
- The size of this crochet pumpkin bag can easily be changed to different sizes. If you’d like it taller, simply add more rows; shorter, less rows.
- Since you'll be working in-the-round, I recommend using a stitch marker at the beginning of each "row" so you know when you've completed each round.
