Buffalo chicken dip is one of those dips that will never go out of style. Why would it? Itβs delicious. According to Google Analytics, itβs also, by far, the most searched Super Bowl snack. And itβs super easy to make.
Some recipes call for canned chicken. Really? Thatβs just wrong. But if you think itβs right for you, go ahead and buy some canned chicken. Just donβt pull a Jessica Simpson and buy a can of Chicken-of-the-Seaβ¦.
π§Ύ Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- Philadelphia cream cheese
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Ranch dressing
- Your favorite hot sauce
- Salted butter

π₯ Make the dip
I use the most flavorful part of the chicken: Boneless/skinless chicken thighs. Trim the fat off the thighs and cut them into small pieces...no need to shred. Season with salt and pepper.
In a pan, melt butter over medium heat.
Add the chicken when the butter starts to sizzle but doesnβt turn brown yet.
Then, add your favorite hot sauce and cook until the chicken is cooked through.
Reduce heat and add cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and ranch dressing.
Let the low heat work its magic until everything is melted into the perfect, spicy, tangy deliciousness.
Serve with chips, celery, bread, or crackers.
