- Pasta - Any pasta shape will do...use your favorite! Whether that's ziti, rigatoni, farfalle, or even spaghetti.
- Spinach - I recommend using fresh spinach for this recipe, but in a pinch you can use frozen instead.
- Dry white wine - If you don't have any dry white wine handy, you can substitute it with white wine vinegar or rice wine vinegar, or even a cup of chicken or vegetable broth with just a splash of vinegar or lemon juice.
π₯£ How to make Creamy Tuscan Chicken Pasta
First, start heating up a pot of water on the stove for the pasta. Once it reaches a rolling boil, add salt and pasta. In the meantime, we'll start making the chicken and the sauce.
Sprinkle some olive oil in a large saute pan, over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side. Then, place the cooked chicken in a bowl and set aside for now.
To start making the sauce, reduce heat to medium and add a tablespoon of butter to the pan. Saute onion, sun dried tomatoes, and spinach until the spinach leaves wilt. Then, add the garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Now add the cream, wine, and Parmesan cheese to the pan and bring to a simmer.
Finally, add the cooked pasta and chicken back to the pan and continue simmering for 5 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
π½οΈ Serving
Serve this creamy Tuscan chicken pasta with a sprinkling of grated Parmesan cheese, along with a side salad, a crusty piece of bread (to soak up the sauce, of course!), and a glass of wine.
π§Ί Storage
When covered tightly with plastic wrap, this meal will stay delicious in the fridge for about 3 to 4 days. You can also seal it in an airtight container and freeze for several months. Reheat in the microwave, in a saucepan on the stovetop, or even in a casserole dish in the oven.
β FAQ
Use your favorite pasta! The shape doesn't matter at all...it's just about your personal preference.
Absolutely! Cooking time may vary slightly, particularly depending on if you're using bone-in or boneless.
Of course! Use the vegetables that you like best, like broccoli, mushrooms, asparagus, kale, squash, or carrots.
Yes, you can use half & half instead, or even whole milk, but just keep in mind that the sauce won't become as thick and creamy.
Instead of using dry white wine in this recipe, you can substitute it with white wine vinegar or rice wine vinegar. Alternatively, you can use a cup of chicken or vegetable broth with just a splash of vinegar or lemon juice.
If your sauce is too runny, simmer it for an additional few minutes. If your sauce is too thick, add a bit more cream or chicken/vegetable broth.
