Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
2 cups all purpose flour, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, 3 teaspoons baking powder, Pinch of salt
In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
½ cup butter, melted, 1 ½ cups milk, 2 large eggs, 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
Add wet to dry ingredients and stir. Don't overmix, though...a few small lumps are fine.
*Now, let the batter rest on the counter for a few minutes while you heat up your waffle iron. If you're using a stovetop waffle iron, like me, heat it up on the stove over low-medium heat for a few minutes.
*Once your waffle iron is ready, spray the inside with a little cooking spray to make sure your waffles don't stick.
Then, pour in the waffle batter until it almost reaches the top and close the lid.
Cook for about 2 minutes, then flip it over and cook for another 2 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve immediately with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
*Note: If you're using an electric waffle maker, follow the manufacturer's instructions.
