Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cold coffee
  • 3-½ tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons 2% milk
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  • Using your mixer of choice, blend together all ingredients until it's reached a consistency similar to melted ice cream. Using an immersion blender, this took about 30 seconds for me.
  • Pour cold coffee into a glass or mug, leaving some room on top for the cold foam.
  • Spoon salted caramel cream over the top of the coffee. Leave it to float on top or use a spoon to stir into your coffee.
  • And an extra drizzle of caramel sauce on top never hurt anyone!
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • Ingredient substitutions
    • Coffee - Brew up your favorite coffee. This drink is served cold, but whether you make a cold brew or hot brew, the choice is yours.
    • Milk - Milk is used to thin the cold foam just a bit, so it's not quite as thick as regular whipped cream. While 2% works best for getting the most froth, you can also replace it with any other cow's milk or plant milk, but the consistency may be a bit thinner.
    • Caramel sauce - While I'd highly recommend my homemade salted caramel sauce, which just takes a few minutes to make, you can use store-bought instead.
    • Sea salt - A coarse sea salt like Maldon sea salt flakes works best.

  • Can I make this ahead of time? Yes! Both the cold brew coffee and salted caramel cold foam can be made ahead of time, so you can double, triple, quadruple, or even quintuple the recipe! Hello to a week's worth of coffee made in one shot!
Make a large batch of cold brew coffee and keep it in the fridge for several days, so you don't have to brew fresh coffee every day.
The cold foam ingredients can also be stirred together ahead of time, but will need to be frothed just before using.
