Notes

  • 🧺 Storage: When stored in an airtight container on the counter, these sprinkle sugar cookies will stay good for several days.
  • ❓ Can I make this cookie dough ahead of time? Yes! Store the dough in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze it for up to 3 months. Thaw frozen dough completely in the fridge overnight before baking. You might need to add a minute or two to the baking time, so keep an eye on them.
  • ❓ How do I prevent the sprinkles color from bleeding? Folding them gently into the dough rather than mixing them vigorously helps. You can also sprinkle some on top before baking for extra fun.
  • Can I add additional flavors to my cookies? You sure can! Try a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, or ginger for a warm spice kick. You can also swap out the vanilla extract for almond extract for a different flavor.
