With this crochet market bag, you’ll be ready to head to the beach or farmer’s market in no time! It’s beautiful, durable, and stretchable, ready to hold towels and sunscreen for a trip to the beach, or as a shopping bag for fresh fruits & veggies. And best of all, you can crochet this bag in just a few hours, so you’ll be ready to go this weekend!

This crochet market tote is also eco-friendly, much kinder to the planet than plastic bags. You can re-use this tote bag for years to come. Its large size will hold all your supplies or groceries and is completely customizable. Change the color, make the strap longer or shorter, whatever you prefer!

This beginner-friendly free crochet market bag pattern uses 1 skein of yarn, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, the magic circle/ring, and also increasing and decreasing stitches. If you don’t already know some of these stitches, don’t worry, they’re easy, and I’ll include some tutorial videos to show you. And if you’d like to review any of the stitches before getting started, read my article and watch the videos here! With all these videos and a download of the printable free pattern, let’s get started!
